Billboard above the Borders store in San Francisco’s Union Square. Using paint, collage, and graffiti inspired letters, I was able to create a variety of letters and colors similar to the diversity found in the city.

1 of 3 of the fall season window signs for U.S. Borders stores. I used wooden type coupled with fallen leaves in order to achieve an earthy, hands-on, spray paint on your garbage can feel.

1 of 3 of the Halloween window signs for U.S. Borders stores. By illustrating my Creative Director’s hands and exaggerating them, I was able to create something completely original. After painting the type and placing the books on the hands, I dropped some tired wall paper in the background to complete the look.

Left section of the Borders airport stores trade show graphics. Keeping with the brand, I wanted to contrast type found in the pages of books with the type found in road maps and passport stamps.

Vintage Reserve wine label for a promotional bottle of wine courtesy of the Borders Wine Club. For some reason I was inspired by Princess Leia and translated that into this design.

Branding ad composed of some collage and sketches of some of my favorite places.

March branding advertisement. I used plenty of crayon and did some drawings because, for me, reading often brings out the kid out in me.

The photo we picked for this branding ad really pushed me to create a fairytale type of scene transforming letters into keyholes and cat tails.

I’ve always been inspired by African masks. When the boss asked me to create a gift card that celebrated diversity I already knew where I was going. I painted the image using really bright colors to hint at South American and Indian culture.

This ad was fun to work on because of the collage work and Jazz playing in my headphones for some extra motivation. It was featured in Jazz Times magazine.
